im Rogaining 2008
Das zweite Sachsen Rogaine wird abermals im Erzgebirge im südlichen Sachsen ausgetragen. Das Gelände liegt 350 km südlich von Berlin und 150 km nordwestlich von Prag. Im Erzgebirgsdorf Rittersgrün wird das erste gemeinsame Rogaine von Tschechien und Deutschland zwischen dem 27. und dem 29. Juni 2008 austragen. Die Meisterschaft wird von Aktiven des Chemnitzer Universitätsportvereins USG Sektion „Orientierungslauf“ und dem Tschechischen Rogaining Verband (CAR) organisiert.
Das Rogaine wird über diesmal über die klassische 24-Stunden Distanz nach den Regeln des internationalen Rogaining Verbandes IRF ausgetragen. Darüber hinaus werden die beliebten kürzeren 12- und 6-Stunden Läufe angeboten. Die Übernachtung ist vor Ort in Zelten ab Freitag dem 27. Juni möglich. Das Wettkampfzentrum wird im Freibad von Rittersgrün eingerichtet werden. Die Registrierung im Wettkampfzentrum ist am Freitag von 18:00-23:00 und am Samstag ab 9:00 möglich.
Das Wettkampfgelände ist überwiegend hügelig mit steilen Anteilen mit einem Höhenprofil von 350 bis 1114 m über NN. Es liegt im Gebirgszug des Erzgebirges und ist hauptsächlich bewaldet mit eine mittleren Dichte an Pfaden und Wegen von deinen einige sehr steil sind. Die Wettkampffläche umfasst 15-20% offenes Land sowie einige kleine Siedlungen und Dörfer. Es wird eine spezielle Karte für Rogaining im Maßstab 1:50000 und 10m Höhenlinien ausgegeben werden.
An den Kontrollpunkten wird abermals das elektronische SI (Sport-Ident) System zum Einsatz kommen. Um einen fairen Wettkampf zu garantieren wird eine „Versiegelungstechnik“ angewandt werden, bei der jeder Wettkämpfer mit einem eigenen SI-Chip „untrennbar“ verbunden wird. Daher werden alle Teilnehmer gebeten, wenn vorhanden, eigene SI-Chips mitzubringen. SI-Chips werden in begrenzter Anzahl zur Ausleihe bereitgestellt werden.
Die Online-Anmeldung ist auf www.rogaine.de ab sofort möglich. Es besteht eine formale Begrenzung von 400 Teilnehmern am Wettkampf. Aktuelle Zahlen zu bestehenden Anmeldungen werden auf www.rogaine.de bekannt gegeben. Die Teilnahmegebühr ist in drei Phasen (15,- 20,- und 25,- Euro pro Person) gegliedert die sich nach dem Datum der Anmeldung richten. Die erste Phase endet am 31. Mai. Die zweite Phase wird am 20. Juni beendet. Die letzte Phase ist die Anmeldung vor Ort in Rittersgrün. Die Gebühr beinhaltet Camping, Parken, Kartenmaterial und Verpflegung (im Wert von 5,- Euro) während des Wettkampfs. Teilnehmer des 6-Stundenlaufes zahlen kein Verpflegungsgeld, also (10,- 15, und 20,- Euro).

Rogaining Championships 2008
The second Saxon Rogaine will be held in the Ore Mountains in the southern Saxony (Germany) and north-west Bohemia (Czech Republic), 350 km southward from Berlin and 150 km north-west from Prague. Village Rittersgruen will host the first joined Rogaining competition of Czech and German republics between 27th and 29th of June 2008. German rogainers of the Chemnitz University of Technology orienteering club USG and the Czech Rogaining Association (CAR) jointly organize the event.
The event will be a classic 24-hour rogaine following the IRF rules of rogaining on www.rogaining.com. In addition a 12 and a 6 hour competition is offered. Camping at the site will be opened from Friday afternoon till the 27th of June. The event centre is located at the open-air pool in Rittersgruen. Registration at the event centre will start on Friday 6:00pm (from 6:00pm to 11:00pm) and on Saturday 9:00am.
The terrain is mostly hilly with broken relief with elevation from 350 to 1114 m above sea level. It is matching highland- or mountain- type surrounding. Terrain is mainly covered by forest with middle density of paths and trails. There are some steep slopes in the area and there is 15-20% of open area and one or two small villages. Special map for rogaining will be provided in scale 1:50 000 with altitude lines every 10 m.
The electronic SI (Sport-Ident) system will be used for punching. To ensure fair competition a plumbing technique will be applied so that a possible cheating with SI chips was eliminated. Competitors are asked to bring its’ own SI chips. Nevertheless SI chips can be borrowed from organizers at the registration upon request mentioned in entry.
On-line entries are available on www.rogaine.de. Mind there is a participation limit of 400 people. Current information about actual number of registered rogainers will be reported on the website. The entry fee is graded into three phases of 15, - 20, - and 25, - Euro. The first phase of registration will end 31st of May and the second phase 20th of June. The last phase ends at the spot 28th of June. The fee includes expenses for camping, parking, maps and refreshment during the competition at the hash house. Participants of the 6-hour race will pay 10, - 15, - and 20, - Euro – the fee doesn’t include refreshment in the hash house.
